Cleaning Your SMART Board:
When you notice that your SMART Board has finger smudges and is becoming dirty you can clean it a few different ways:
- Dampen a soft cloth with water and wipe the board clean.
- Use a standard glass cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive paper towel.
TIP: Turn your computer Off before cleaning your board.
Routine Maintenance:
*You will regularly need to clean the filter on your projector. A small hand vac works well for this task. Once you clean the filter you will need to reset the projector by pressing the menu button and following the instructions on the screen.
*Keep sharp objects away from your SMART Board.
*SMART Technologies does say that you can use dry erase markers (not the low-odor kind) on their SMART Boards, however I do not recommend it. It does leave a residue on the board. If you choose to use dry erase markers on your boards you can spray Expo Dry Erase Cleanser on a soft cloth and wipe the SMART Board clean to remove and smudges that are on the board.
