| On Monday, October 25, 2004 Roan Creek Elementary had a visit from Tennessee's Commissioner of Education, Lana Seivers, along with State Senator, Ron Ramsey, and State Representative, Jason Mumpower. Third grade students presented the Commissioner with a book they wrote entitled, Why We Love Roan Creek Elementary. Commissioner Seivers had a presentation of her own to make. Our own Edna Miller, Literacy Leader, was presented with a check for $25,000 awarded by the Milken Family Foundation. We are all extremely proud of Mrs. Miller and the great work she does. She deserves it! |
