Keyboarding

The purpose of our keyboarding program is to familiarize 4th -6th grade students with the home row keys and to begin simple touch typing. We practice our keyboarding skills on a variety of machines including Compaq desktop computers, Dell laptops, and AlphaSmart 3000 keyboards.

Things to Remember:
       *Sit up straight.
       *Keep your fingers curved.
       *Keep your wrists straight.
       *Put your feet flat on the floor.

*If you finish your lesson for the day before class is over you may open MSWord on the computer or go to a blank screen on the AlphaSmart 3000 and practice typing, or you may go to the games section and play a typing game online.
