Read Across America with our
Dr. Seuss Celebration!
March 3-7, 2003
To celebrate Read Across America along with Dr. Seuss's birthday the faculty, staff, and students of Roan Creek Elementary filled our week with reading activities. Each day we had a new mystery reader during morning announcements. Classes turned in guesses and winners were announced the following day. We also had a visit from the Cat in the Hat who read to Head Start through third grades. All students got one RIF book during library class as well.
Monday: Fox in Socks Day
Tuesday: Kid in a Hat Day
Wednesday: Twin Day
Thursday: Grinch in Green Day
Friday: Dress as your favorite book character day
